How PYAAS traceability works: from farm to your pack

Most milk in India is a mystery by the time it reaches you. It gets pooled from hundreds of sources, mixed, and shipped, so the brand on the carton cannot honestly tell you which farm it came from. We wanted the opposite. With PYAAS, the question "where is this from" should always have an answer.

It starts at a named farm. We work with specific partner farms, not an anonymous collection network. Each one has a name, a district, a herd, and a farmer we can point to. When milk is collected, it is logged against that farm rather than dropped into a shared pool.

Next comes the batch. A day's collection from a farm becomes a batch with its own code. That code travels with the milk through chilling, processing, and packing. Because we keep every batch tied to one named farm, the trail never gets tangled with someone else's milk.

Then comes the check. Before a batch is cleared, it goes through quality testing, things like fat, SNF, and basic safety screening. A batch that does not pass does not get packed. The results are tied to the batch code, not buried in a file no one ever sees.

Finally it reaches your pack. Printed on it is a code, and often a QR. Scan it, and you should be able to see the farm it came from, the batch it belongs to, and that it cleared its checks. No vague stock photos of green fields, the actual source.

We are honest that this is harder and slower than blending everything together. It limits how fast we can scale, and it means we cannot hide a bad day inside a big pool. We think that is the point. Traceability is only worth anything if it can occasionally embarrass us, if it would show a problem rather than hide one.

So the promise is simple. Farms you can name, milk you can trace. Pick up a pack, follow the code, and check our work. That is the whole idea.
